Aslan Cherkesov's relatives outraged by Supreme Court's decision on his case

Relatives of Aslan Cherkesov, a native of Nalchik, convicted to twenty years in prison for murdering Yegor Sviridov, are outraged by the decision of the Supreme Court of Russia to mitigate his term by two months only. Cherkesov's relatives and fellow-countrymen do not exclude new protest actions in his support.

Cherkesov considered the verdict on the case of Sviridov's murder unjustified

During consideration of his appeal in the Supreme Court of Russia Aslan Cherkesov earlier acknowledged guilty of murder of football fan Yegor Sviridov asked the court to avoid the sentence and refer the case to a new consideration. The Supreme Court reduced his custody term from 20 to 19 years and 8 months. The verdict of guilty was confirmed, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Maikop to host Congress of Circassians of Adygea to discuss status of Syrian compatriots

Maikop began preparations for the Congress of the Circassian nation of the Republic of Adygea. On January 22, the decision to convene the Congress was adopted at the extraordinary meeting of the Board of the Public Movement "Adyge-Khase Circassian Parliament" of the Republic of Adygea. The Congress is scheduled for February 11. Forensic experts: student who died in Nalchik from botulism could have been saved

Experts from the bureau of forensic-medical examination of the Ministry of Public Health of Kabardino-Balkaria have concluded that Radima Ezieva, a botulism patient, who died in the Urvan district hospital, could have been saved by timely and appropriate treatment.

MoPH of KBR finds no violations in the hospital where newborns died

The Republic's Children's Hospital (RCH) of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) was inspected by the local Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in the context of the eight deaths of newborns that occurred in the hospital in the first decade of January. According to specialists of the Ministry, the doctors had acted properly.
